Stop Flintshire Labour's £80m Superschool Vanity Project

St David’s belongs in Mold and St Anthony’s belongs in Saltney.

Flintshire’s Labour-Independent Cabinet is proposing a plan that would close both schools and rip them from the heart of their communities. Families would lose the choice of a local primary school, and young children would face long journeys back and forth to school.

Labour's own figures put the projected public cost of the scheme at nearly £80m over 50 years, including the new building, borrowing costs, and transport. Labour wants families to give up schools they love for this vanity project.

We call on Flintshire County Council and the Diocese of Wrexham to drop the closures, keep both schools open in their communities, and invest in their future.
