By-elections in North Wales

County, Town & Westminster

By-elections occur when, for many reasons, there are vacancies in elected positions. They can happen at Westminster, County or Community level. Below are the current by-elections the Welsh Liberal Democrats are fighting and information about the great community champions up for election.

FARON HADFIELD-JONES - Flintshire County Council - Argoed and New Brighton

Faron Hadfield-Jones, a local community councillor for Mynydd Isa on the Argoed Community council is preparing for the anticipated by-election following the sad passing of the much respected Cllr Hilary Mcguill.

Promising to take action to fix potholes and tackle anti-social parking Faron is excited for an opportunity to build on local successes for the Lib Dem team in saving the local bus service into Mold.

“Making the step from the community council to the County council will give me a great opportunity to continue Hilary's record of service for our unique and wonderful community as well as building on my own desires to see a flourishing and well connected local community.”

There will be updates once the Notification of Election has been published.
