Introducing Alec Dauncey, Candidate for Clwyd East

The Welsh Liberal Democrats have chosen Alec Dauncey to stand for election to the House of Commons in the next General Election.

Alec has a strong connection with the constituency. His parents lived in Ruthin for more than thirty-five years, and his first job was as a Forest Worker in Clocaenog forest. Alec is an active professional forester who teaches at Bangor University and has worked in forestry and the environment all his working life.

He is proud to represent the Liberal Democrats in this new constituency, which has a strong and effective team of Liberal Democrat councillors on Flintshire and Denbighshire councils. Alec has been involved in Liberal politics since he was a teenager, and has stood for Westminster and the European Parliament.
