Flintshire’s Lib Dems forced the Labour-led Council to U-turn on its plans to close the public toilets in Mold, Holywell, and Talacre.

SELECTIVE AMNESIA?

All-but-two Labour councillors voted to completely de-fund the public toilets in February.

Just months later, when residents learned the toilets were slated to close, Labour councillors expressed ‘surprise’, despite actively voting for it.

Cllr Andrew Parkhurst said ‘I warned Labour not to close the public toilets. Labour refused to listen.’ Why are they now “surprised”?’

FIGHT JUST BEGINNING

Andrew added ‘The toilets will remain open whilst the Council conducts a public consultation. The real fight starts now and the Lib Dems are determined to keep them open.
